Our History
St. Patrick School was established in 1952 by the Sacred Heart of Mary sisters. Within two years, the school boasted eight classrooms, 280 students in grades 1 through 8, and a faculty of four sisters and four lay teachers. The last two RSHM sisters on the faculty left at the close of the 1986-87 school year.
In 1977, a Kindergarten was established, enabling the school to address the needs of an increasing population. An extended care program was adopted in 1988, offering both morning and afternoon child-care. In 1994, the St. Patrick School staff took over supervision and coordination of what is now called the Knights' Club program.
In order to enhance the students' language skills, prepare students for Kindergarten, and assist the school financially, a full-day Pre-school was opened in January of 2000. To assist the transition from Pre-school to Kindergarten, a Pre-Kinder program opened in 2006.
Currently, St. Patrick Catholic School is headed by a lay principal, Mrs. Rosselle Azar, and staffed with 11 full-time lay teachers in Pre-school through 8th grade. St. Patrick Catholic School is accredited by the WCEA/WASC.
